Step 1
Schedule A Free Consultation
Schedule a Free Consultation where you will meet with your potential mediator to learn about how divorce mediation works and exactly what to expect.
Step 3
Information Gathering
Submit information regarding your assets/debts & income/expenses to Asa for analysis.
Step 5
Mediate
Over multiple sessions, mediate the relevant issues of your divorce including property identification, property division, custody and visitation, child support, and spousal support.
Step 2
Sign the Mediation Services Agreement and Pay the Flat Fee
The Mediation Services Agreement highlights the rules of mediation and explain's the scope of your mediator's engagement. Asa Pitt Mediation operates on a flat fee which is collected prior to the first ession.
Step 4
Schedule Mediation
Asa will work with both parties to plan a mutually convenient mediation schedule. Mediations are typically broken up into multiple sessions ranging from 2-4 hours.
Step 6
Draft and Sign the
Stipulated Judgment
Once an amicable agreement has been reached, Asa drafts a Stipulated Divorce Judgement for both parties to review and sign. If revisions need to be made, Asa will revise the agreement.
Step 7
Court Paperwork
Once the Divorce Judgment is signed, Asa prepares and files all of the paperwork related to your divorce with the relevant CA court. This includes child custody and support agreements, if needed.
Step 8
Move Forward With
Your Lives
An agreement has been reached and your paperwork has been filed. It's time for both spouses to move forward with their lives.
